Midnimo relief organization (MIRO) is a nongovernmental and nonprofit seeks it services the vulnerable Somali people with a proper intervention needs the aim is to response their needs in different sectors such as: health, education, livelihood, agriculture, support, awareness, women empowering and protection, emergency, relief, water and sanitation.
Since the collapse of the central government of Somalia in 1991 and of effective government which can handle all necessary services facilities as well as persistent of fighting groups in Somalia resulted civilian population became serious victims of violation and susceptible the prevalence of dangers diseases due to lack of necessary services facilities and wide spread starvation.
In response of the community needs a group of Somali intellectuals felt the needs of vulnerable Somali people voluntarily founded African Human development center on 1 March 2015
Miro has a capacity related to community development activities through implementation of projects and provision of support to the vulnerable socials and internal displaced people in Somali society.
We elaborately conceptualized that, the most vulnerable IDPs enclosed in Somalia regions are those who have been violence by natural disasters like droughts, outbreak of AWD/Cholera, human violations like triple clashes, lack of basic human needs such as Education, health facilities, Sanitary, and community awareness. Due to these, Midnimo Relief Organization ( MIRO) with its operational understanding stood up to provide all kind of humanitarian support voluntarily to upgrade the wellbeing of their society.
Miro’s geographical areas of operations include: South and central zone in all these areas maintains close working relations its stallholders such as community, local authorities, INGO’s and UN agencies.
